I began using KEOTAGs a couple of weeks ago and I encourage you to look into them too.
Their free and easy to use services include:
- Tag search;
- Tag generator;
- Social bookmarks link generator.
I’m a happy camper so I recommend that you try them and see what you think.
I’ve also started using Add This buttons for social book marking and for rss feed selection. I recommend that you give them a whirl too and see what you think.

I’m a feisty lady, Eric. I do like Keotags and you’re sure a lucky ducky, because if I didn’t, I guarantee that the title would have really annoyed you.
Thanks for these infos ! KEOTAGs seems to work fine, I really like it (especially social bookmarks link generator), except for the Yahoo link (brings me to the search page!?). The other ones bring me directly to the login pages, so that’s perfect
About the Add this, I find it interesting as we have many more options than KEOTAGs except that it’s not really useful for posts (unless you are on the post page)
Also I added the wrong code on one of my own blog post (yeah, I tried the “post” code that can’t be inserted in wordpress.com, bad mistake), and was not able to access the “code” tab of my post after… I had to delete it from the “visual” tab to access the code again. Maybe a system like KEOTAGs would be helpful for posts buttons (add url = code for one post)?
Hi TT,
Can you clarify this for me? I’m starting to try some of the automated ways of creating social bookmarking buttons/links at the end of my posts. You have the Add This.com button plus some of the individual links which you get from the Keotag site. Do these both accomplish the same thing? Do you do both just to be thorough, in case, for instance, some people don’t want to click through and use the Add This site?
I’ve used this site a little:
http://www.egmstrategy.com/ice/return_tag.cfm
…and it’s fine. Like the keotag site, it creates just the text links, at least on wp.com blogs — which I actually prefer. I kind of wish one of them would add StumbleUpon, though, as it seems to be the other biggie.
But just using the Add This link seems like a nice way to go. Thoughts?
Hi There,
Currently I’m just using the “Add This” one and yes I do wish stumbleupon would be added to keotags. Thanks for sharing the link to the 3rd one above.
Well, “Add This” has StumbleUpon (and nearly everything else under the sun!) so I would think it should be the way to go. Nice to have everything consolidated into one button. I’m glad you’ve been using it as I hadn’t run into it in a few searches of the topic on the wp forums. Came here to see what you were using, and there it was.
Thanks.
Hi there and you’re welcome.
